The 12-string resonator guitars;

This one was crafted from a collapsed Aria guitar that was `repaired' by somebody by gluing a chunky bit of wood right down the soundboard, (which totally killed the tone and rendered it unfixable although it did stop the soundboard from collapsing.) It was gifted to me by a friend. It has a cone inserted from the front and was done without opening the back up and was pretty nice looking already, so it came together pretty quickly. It needed double strength carbon fibre and a bit of tweaking to get enough down force on the bridge to produce a decent volume and body in the notes and now sounds great. This one is sold already to a friend for $350 as a present for her little brothers birthday, (lucky guy to have such a loving big sister.) Thank you Aimee.

There is a yamaha 12-string in the pipeline which had a serious soundboard problem which I scored for a mere 5 dollars. I've found the speaker and this time I plan to simply glue the speaker surround to the guitar top and use a spider bridge to stabilise it from the front a bit like the one above.

A friend gave me another yamaha 12 string of the same model which he found on the street (thanks Andy) which would make a good experiment as I could try something a bit different and know it wasn't the difference in the guitar that altered the tone but it seems worth repairing, it only needs a neck reset and it will be back in business. Seems like it might sound pretty decent too ...
